What personal data we collect and why we collect it
There are a number of ways in which we use your personal information, depending on how you interact with us. If you do not provide your information to us, then we will be unable to interact with you in that way – for example, if you do not provide your name, address and account details when purchasing one of our products online, we will not be able to sell you that product as we would be unable to process your payment or deliver the product to you.
Our full company name is V&V Group Ltd. We will be the data controller in respect of any personal data you provide to us. This term “data controller” is a legal phrase used to describe a person or entity that controls the way personal data is used and processed.
To provide our products and services – we need to use your personal information to make our products and services available to you. If you then decide to order any of our products or services then we’re delighted, thank you. After that, we need to provide them to you, process your payment and sometimes award you Nectar points. And we need to use your details to do all this.
To personalize your shopping experience – we try to understand our customers so we can provide you with a great shopping experience, relevant marketing, personalized offers, shopping ideas and online advertising.
Analytics and profiling – we use your personal information for statistical analysis and to help us understand more about our customers. This helps us to serve you better and to find ways to improve our services and websites. These profiles help us to send you offers that are more relevant to you.
Contacting you – we use your personal information to contact you: either to conduct market research or to contact you about products and services from us and other companies. We may also contact you in relation to any questions you have raised with us or to discuss the status of your account with us.
When you make an enquiry about the goods or services we supply or purchase/order goods or services from us, you will need to provide us with certain personal data relating to you. Your privacy is extremely important to us so we want you to know exactly how we will use that personal data. We’ve set out all the details below.

We use the personal information we hold about you for a number of different purposes, which we list below. Under data protection law we need to have a valid legal basis for using your personal information, we also set out below the legal bases which we will be relying upon.
- To provide you with the goods/services you have purchased
- To enforce our contract with you and inform you of any changes to the contract

We will also use the personal information we hold about you to comply with any regulatory requirements or applicable laws and our legal basis for doing so will be that it is necessary for us to so to comply with legal obligations to which we are subject.
Some of the personal data we request will be because we have a legal or contractual requirement to obtain and use the information or it is necessary for us to obtain the information to be able to enter into a contract with you. Failure to provide such information will prevent us from providing you with such goods and/or services.
While we do not carry out any automated decision-making or profiling in relation to you directly, if you decide to take advantage of one of our finance offers, our finance providers use an automated system to check your credit history and confirm eligibility.

To make sure we meet our legal data protection and privacy obligations, we only hold on to your personal data for as long as we actually need it for the purposes, we acquired it for in the first place.
This means we will usually keep information relating to any purchase you make for 2 years in case any contractual disputes arise and also to ensure that we have the necessary information to honor any warranties we provide you with and to be able to provide you with part numbers and product information should you wish to order replacements after the expiry of any warranties.
